Tropea,

is called the "Pearl of the Tyrrhenian Sea" and its old town towers imposingly on the steeply sloping rocky coast. The Cathedral of Santa Maria dell'Isola, perched on a cliff peninsula, exudes a very special charm, a feast for the eyes with an exciting history. Wide sandy beaches at the foot of the cliffs, which draws in and around Tropea, invite you to spend the day with swimming and from the cliffs you can see the volcanic island Stromboli lying in the sea. (Lamezia Terme Airport 55 km)

Villagio La Pizzuta *** - ****

is very prettily built in the style of a village on a rocky plateau in Parghelia. Formerly a small family pension, the hotel has been continuously expanded for decades, and even today there is a family-Italian atmosphere.
The bungalow-like rooms are distributed harmoniously in the Mediterranean garden and every room is located very close to the garden green. With a lift through the rock and after 150 m of green footpath you get to the beautiful beach. The standard rooms have 3 stars, the deluxe rooms 4 stars with a location close to the elevator, the few superior deluxe rooms are best located, most close to the sea and have 4 stars.
La Pizzuta is situated 600 m from the village of Parghelia, and about 2 km from Tropea.

Catering

The fresh, local breakfast is served as a buffet. A delicious, Calabrian-Italian influenced dinner - as well as the lunch if booked - are served as a special feature of the Villagio at specified times fresh at the table. And an antipasti and fruit buffet is offered. On three days, the two excursion days and one more day, no dinner is scheduled at the hotel.

Trips and tours


... are planned to the picturesque fishing village of Scilla on the Strait of Messina, with its legendary sunset and chosen as one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. .
... lead to the lively, attractive Reggio di Calabria, planned for a full-day excursion.
... to another jewel of the coast, the nearby Pizzo Calabro are recommended. It is a fishing village and invention place of the "Tartufo", which you can enjoy on its beautiful, old market place after stroling through the nice historical center.
... to the lovely, partly fairytale like nature of the interior are highly recommended.

To take part in the TAI-Intensive with Raksan or to relax before the festival, we offer extra days at the hotel.
The area is full of interesting destinations, just a few hours drive away: Palermo, Naples, the Amalfi Coast, Sicily, Puglia. If you want to travel on your own, you can book your flight coming to Lamezia Terme and your return flight from Naples, Catania, Palermo, Bari. We recommend to rent a car in advance strating from airport Lamezia Terme, transfer to the airport on May 25.
